The selection of blister materials is also more important. It is related to the quality of the product. How to choose blister products will be explained to us below.
Blister: A plastic processing technology. The primary principle is to heat the flat plastic hard sheet to soften it, then select a vacuum to absorb it on the surface of the mold and cool it to form. It is widely used in plastic packaging, lighting, advertising, decoration and other occupations. Blister packaging is a general term used to produce plastic products using blister technology, and to encapsulate the products with corresponding equipment. Blister packaging products mainly include: blister, tray, blister box, and synonyms are: vacuum cover, blister, etc. The scope of use of different blister materials is different.
The sheet used for blister packaging is called rigid film or film. Commonly used are PET (polyethylene terephthalate) rigid film, PVC (polyvinyl chloride) rigid film, and PS (polystyrene) rigid film.
PS hard film has low density, poor resistance, and is easy to burn. Styrene gas (a harmful gas) will be generated during incineration, so it is generally used to produce various industrial blister trays.
PVC hard sheet has moderate resistance and is not easy to burn. Chlorine gas will be generated during incineration, which will have certain impact on the environment. PVC is easy to heat and can be sealed with a sealing machine and a high-frequency machine. It is the primary raw material for producing transparent blister products.
PET hard film has good resistance, high transparency, easy to burn, no harmful gas occurs during incineration, it is classified as environmental protection material, but the price is high, and it is suitable for advanced blister products. The blister blister in European and American countries generally requires the use of PET hard film. However, it is not easy to heat seal, which brings great difficulties to packaging. In order to deal with this problem, people compound a layer of PVC film on the PET surface, named PETG rigid sheet, but the price is higher.
